2018 SAFEWAY FOOD DRIVE - Fruitvale/Alameda Stores

Thank you for joining Alameda County Community Food Bank and Safeway for the annual “Help Us End Hunger” holiday campaign!

This year’s food drive will take place at all Alameda County Safeway stores on Saturday, November 17 with shifts from 10:00am- 12:30pm and 12:00pm - 2:00pm.Your participation in this drive makes a huge difference: Last year, volunteers helped encourage food donations equaling 300,000 meals in Alameda County alone!

Volunteers will engage shoppers by handing out fliers and asking for their participation in the Food Drive inside the store. A basic “script” will also be provided. Last year, volunteers helped to make these stores some of the most successful Bay Area stores for this one-day event. Your participation is vital to our success!

Please note: Due to the importance of this volunteer effort, we request you make a sincere commitment to this volunteer opportunity before you sign up. If you need to cancel, one week's advance notice is requested.

Please register each volunteer individually. Youth must be accompanied by an adult, and for youth groups we require 1 supervising adult for every 5 youths.
